From 2016 to Present Mr. Cox has worked for The James B. Oswald Company (JBO) for the retirement services division, Oswald Financial, Inc. (OFI) Mr. Cox was hired as a client service administrator, assisting client managers in the process of helping plan sponsors and executive committees evaluate, understand and implement comprehensive retirement programs. Mr. Cox obtained his Life & Health Insurance License and Series 7 registration in 2014, and Series 66 registration in 2017, which is currently held through LPL Financial. Mr. Cox also holds a certificate from the International Foundation of Employee Benefits in retirement plans and obtained his Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF) designation from Fi360 in 2017. In 2017, Shaun was promoted to Senior Client Service Administrator and in 2018 took on his current role of Client Manager.
Prior to joining Oswald Financial, Mr. Cox was a retirement support associate with another local advisor in Twinsburg, Ohio, focusing on supporting the retirement plan team and plan sponsors in the implementation and management of defined contribution plans.
Mr. Cox earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Akron with honors in 2014, and is a member of the Zips Recruitment Team for future leaders from 2012 to Present. Mr. Cox served in the United States Army Aviation from 2006 to 2012, serving thirteen months from 2009 to 2010 in Baghdad, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Throughout his service, Mr. Cox earned several meritorious medals, including the Army Commendation Medal for meritorious service in support of OIF in 2010.
Mr. Cox enjoys the outdoors, frequenting national parks, hiking and is also an avid hunter. He resides in Coventry, Ohio and has two sons, Jackson and Beau.
